Guru is a free searchable database containing federal and state regulations for labeling food and alcohol products. The information in Guru is sourced from the FDA, USDA, FTC, TTB, CFRs, Federal Register, various states, retailers, universities, and 3rd party certification standards.
The problem we're solving
Guru was created to help food brands find relevant labeling information quickly and efficiently. Using mainstream search tools to find federal or state regulations is time-consuming, government websites are difficult to navigate, and applicable guidance is located across different agencies and websites. During our own label reviews we were always asking, “What are we missing? Do we have all the correct guidance?”

If you can’t find a resource, let us know. Guru sources are added frequently as agencies release new guidance, issue draft reports, and change existing regulations. Our goal is improving access to labeling regulations and helping you confidently bring new products to market.
